Our Sustainability Vision

At Else Bornewa, we evaluate the environmental, social, and economic impacts of our production processes with a holistic perspective and implement continuous, systematic improvements to minimize them.

Renewable Energy

Renewable Energy

A significant portion of our annual electricity consumption is supplied by solar energy, making our

production cleaner and more efficient.

Circular Economy

Circular Economy

We manufacture most of our products using recycled or environmentally responsible raw materials,

ensuring resource use is managed sustainably.

Social Responsibility

Social Responsibility

We embrace a fair, safe, and inclusive working model that creates value for our community, employees, and

supply chain.

Transparency and Traceability

Transparency and Traceability

Every step of our production—from raw material to final product—is designed to be fully traceable,

ensuring complete transparency for our customers.

The Global Impact of the Textile Industry

%20

•    The industry is responsible for 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 20% of global freshwater consumption.

These data clearly demonstrate that the current system is not sustainable.

%1

•    Only 1% of this waste is recycled.

These data clearly demonstrate that the current system is not sustainable.

92 M

•    Every year, 92 million tons of textile waste is generated.

These data clearly demonstrate that the current system is not sustainable.

Recycling Approach at Else Bornewa

With our Full Conversion principle, we recycle both pre-consumer waste (production leftovers, cuttings) and post-consumer waste (end-of-life textile products).

An annual average of 2,447 tons of textile waste is transformed into fiber—and then yarn—using mechanical recycling methods.

Every 1 kg of recycled cotton saves approximately 2,116 liters of water, which means 2.1 million liters of water preserved for every ton of textile waste recycled.
